Standard thickness of PTFE lining for metal hoses
The standard thickness of PTFE lining for metal hoses is usually between 1.5-3mm, The specific thickness needs to be adjusted according to the pipe diameter, working pressure and temperature and other working conditions.
PTFE-lined metal hose thickness standard
Conventional thickness range .
The thickness of the PTFE lining layer for most products is 1.5-3mm. Among them, for small-diameter pipes with a diameter of less than DN50, 1-2mm is mostly used, while for pipes with a diameter of more than DN50, it is usually 2-3mm.
Influencing factors .
Diameter : For small diameters (e.g. DN15), 1mm thin lining is required; for large diameters (e.g. DN600), more than 3mm is needed to ensure structural strength.
Pressure : For high-pressure conditions (e.g. 2.5MPa), the lining thickness needs to be increased to 3mm to enhance the pressure resistance.
Temperature : In extreme temperature range (-196 ° C to 260 ° C), it is recommended to use a 2.5-3mm thick PTFE lining.
Process standards .
The lining must pass a 10kV high-frequency electrical discharge test to ensure it is pore-free. The flange connection complies with the HG/T20592 standard. The flanged design of the lining layer can enhance the sealing performance.
